Shirenewton and the surrounding villages of Earlswood, Gaerllwyd, Mynyddbach and Newchurch are in South East Wales, United Kingdom.More precisely, they lie in the Monmouthshire hills, seven miles to the west of the confluence of the rivers Wye and Severn. For those who knew local resident Mansel Tamplin who passed away on the 4th April his funeral is being held on Sat 18th April at Llantrisant Church, CF72 8ED at 11.30am and afterwards at Llantrisant Golf Club, CF72 8HZ. Contact John Tamplin on 01491 410429 for more details.
