Shirenewton and the surrounding villages of Earlswood, Gaerllwyd, Mynyddbach and Newchurch are in South East Wales, United Kingdom.More precisely, they lie in the Monmouthshire hills, seven miles to the west of the confluence of the rivers Wye and Severn.
